The Pull To Create
Jen Greeke is a Massachusetts-based artist whose work transforms reclaimed metal into distinctive sculptures and fine art. Drawing on a multidisciplinary background in costume design, multi-media sculpture, fashion, and fine arts, she brings a storyteller’s eye to every piece she creates.
After a career designing costumes for theater, opera, dance, and film, Jen found herself increasingly drawn to the sculptural qualities of metal and the stories embedded within weathered materials. Inspired by the coastal landscapes of New England and the rich patina that develops through time, she began reimagining discarded metal as works of art that celebrate both history and transformation.
A graduate of Parsons School of Design (BFA) and NYU Tisch School of the Arts (MFA in Costume Design for Stage and Film), Jen has spent her career creating visual narratives through texture, form, and color. Her work as a metal artist builds on these same principles, combining craftsmanship and artistic vision to give new life to forgotten materials.
Working in both large and small scales, Jen creates pieces that honor the character of reclaimed metal while revealing unexpected beauty in objects once overlooked. Through her art, she explores themes of renewal, resilience, and the enduring relationship between nature, time, and human creativity.
